Where to start you may ask? That’s a very good question.

let’s start with the interior and get that out the way first. The GT’s (or Phoenix as it got named) interior was in a bad state, driver seat torn, hole in the carpet, the boot trim not fitted and it had a bit of an odor.

First task is to remove everything from the silver GT or at least unbolt everything so it was loose but still protected.
Next it was the phoenix’s turn. Out with the seats, carpet, dash and any damaged parts of trims etc all taken to local recycle center. A quick hoover was a must after this

One bad area i found was the driver seat mount. The captive nut had failed so there was a hole punched through the floor with a nut and bolt. I removed the mout, repaired the floor treating it as i went and then recreated the seat mount.

Next was the roof lining and sunroof, out with the old and in with the silver GT ones.

Next change the dongle (not shown) in it’s hidden location (it’s part of the NATS system) and the steering colum so i can fit my Nistune converted ECU (programble ECU)

Another hovered and cleaned from front to back. Then in went the main dash, Clocks and lower dash, carpets then trim and seats. Lastly the boot carpets and trims

This completed the interior install and it felt, looked and smelled like my silver GT.
