My third event at Doune hill climb was an interesting one as it was my first experience at a British championship. The weather was sunny but a tad on the hot side for the cars more so on the Sunday. The rain managed to stay away mostly but impacted the run off which was the last run of the day on Saturday.
There was also a live feed on YouTube over the 2 day event. Which can be seen on https://www.youtube.com/c/HillClimbTV

Sunday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ash5qDmHjpc
Saturday comprised of 1 practice and 3 timed runs for the Scottish championship and 3 practice 1 timed and a run off for the British championship. Sunday was the same for the Scottish championship but only 2 practice and 1 timed with the run off for the British championship.
How did I do? Well I came in 3rd in class but before you get excited there was only three in the class, First and second went to Jody Cordon and Campbell Gordon in there Peugeot 205.
But not a disappointment for me Saturday first practice run I set a time of 67.90 and the three timed runs, 67.14 a new personal best, 66.63 a new personal best, followed by a 66.41 another personal best.
Sunday the practice run I set a 66.86 then the three timed runs 66.96 followed by 66.40 a new personal best and last run of the weekend a 66.75 sadly the car developed a little running issue on the last stage of the climb due to the ambient temperature.
Thanks to Nicky, Alan and friends for their support during the day.
Thanks to Lothian Car club and the Marshall’s for a well organised event. And the team doing the commentary and live feeds
