Now a little tricky bit. I suspect when the new clutch was fitted the person doing the job cross threaded the front crossmember bolts when bolting it back to the radiator support panel. I guess they could have been damaged when removing and just forced back in.
The captive nut broke when i was trying to remove them which left me no choice other than to cut open the radiator support panel. I could either repair the panel or replaced it. I decided on the later to replaced the lower radiator support panel.
First up was to remove the old panel from the chassis clean and treat it the areas for the new panel.
Next i preped with stone chip and primer. Painted color and lacquer on the inside face as it would be hard to do when it was fitted with the engine in place.
Next job was to weld the new panel in place. and give it a final prep
And finaly paint and lacquer. I also filled the cavities with waxoil.
I left this alone for a while then fitted the JDM lamps and corner units.
