Alan at Millermods Garage did a fantastic job of fitting the cage and reconstructing it after i cut it into sections. Alan also did the work to fit the race seat and belt mount under the seat. I hope i didn’t make it too dificult for him.

If you remember i said i saved the cage from the old Datsun cherry. It was now time to prep our other Cherry to have the cage fitted so let’s get too it.

Once the cherry was home i flsuhed out the system and got it running at least so it could be moved about with out worry. Next the car was dropped of to have have a custom roll cage fitted one of Nicky’s conditions for me racing. I intrusted this task to a well know cage builder called Scott Mcminn motorsport.

In a Previous post i mention i was going to start hill climb racing more on this soon. But first i needed a car to build and I found a 1984 Datsun cherry 1.3. I have known this car for years and the previous owner looked after it so well, so i think my judgment was clouded. And this is why it turned into a bit of a disaster.
